Ginger Kroll

Ginger Kroll founded Gateway to Admission after discovering her passion for college admissions while guiding her own son through the process. She immersed herself in every aspect, from college visits to meetings, which inspired her to help others navigate the admissions journey with confidence. Ginger's approach is centered on listening to students and parents, crafting tailored plans that reduce stress and align with their unique goals.

Consultant

Lindsey DiTomasso

Lindsey DiTomasso is a Consultant at Gateway to Admission, bringing a student-centered approach to college admissions. A high school Social Studies teacher since 1997, she has worked with diverse students—especially juniors—building critical thinking, communication, and research skills essential for college success.

With experience coaching soccer at both high school and club levels, Lindsey understands the challenges student-athletes face and helps them navigate the recruitment process. She is passionate about helping students find their voice and guiding families through admissions with clarity and confidence.

Media Manager

Katelyn Stern

Katelyn serves as Media Manager for Gateway to Admission. She is currently a freshman studying finance at Notre Dame. Katelyn has been a key player in enhancing our social media presence, bringing both creativity and strategy to each post across all platforms. Her dedication to connecting with students and families through engaging, informative, and relevant content has been invaluable in growing our community. Beyond her technical skills, Katelyn’s insights into the college application process shine through in her monthly column, Katelyn’s Korner.

Website Consultant

Collin Socha

Collin Socha, a tech enthusiast with a degree in User Experience Design and Entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan, serves as the website consultant for Gateway to Admission. Now a Product Manager at Intuit in San Francisco, Collin combines his technical skills with creative flair. He’s passionate about crafting user-centered solutions that leave a lasting impact, ensuring the website reflects Gateway’s commitment to excellence.

Media Intern

Ava Hartschuh

Ava serves as a Media Intern for Gateway to Admission. She is currently a freshman at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Ava brings a unique perspective to our team. With her keen eye for design and creativity, she is perfectly positioned to connect with our students and parents in a meaningful way. Ava will be providing valuable insights into the realities of life as a new college student. Through her contributions, including her column “Ava’s View” in our monthly newsletter, she will share honest and relatable stories, tips, and reflections that shed light on the transition to college.

Lily Kroll

Lily serves as a Media Intern for Gateway to Admission. She is a high school junior from outside Chicago, Illinois. Lily plans to pursue a degree in education or psychology and is a dedicated member of her dance team. She also serves on the executive board on the junior board of a local charity, showcasing her passion for leadership and giving back to her community. Lily will focus on creating relevant content for TikTok.

Allie Grace Greene

Allie Grace serves as a Media Intern for Gateway to Admission. She is a high school junior from outside New Orleans with aspirations of studying political science or journalism in college. A dynamic and engaged student, Allie-Grace balances her time between cheer, community service, student leadership as junior class president, and various extracurricular activities. Allie Grace will focus on creating relevant content for TikTok.

Director of Academic Approach

Andrew Ferguson

Andrew Ferguson, Director of Academic Approach, partners with Gateway to Admission to help students excel in ACT and SAT preparation. With a strong background in Chemistry and Economics, Andrew teaches Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. He leads Academic Approach’s business development, ensuring personalized tutoring that meets students' academic needs. Andrew and his wife live in Des Moines, Iowa, enjoying life with their four dogs.
